My hat is off to all the Mothers and Fathers today! MacKenzie has been with me for 5 days, 3 to go. She’s my first cousins’ kid and 15 years old. A real gem of a person and a natural Californian. My only concern is that I may go off and leave her at Whole Foods, forgetting she’s with me. So far, that hasn’t happened…she’s keeping tabs on me, making it easy.
Mackenzie says,”Australia is awesome! I like it because everything is neat there….I love the Veronicas. It’s rock music. It’s been a pleasure to stay with Karen a week and I’ll be sad to go home. I’m really glad she’s not such a vegetarian anymore and doesn’t give me wheat grass juice like she used to! Ta ta! Mate!”
I’m takin’ back my blog! Well, there you go, my friend and cousin, Mackenzie.
Lots of action here. I must get to it and read, read, read. I’m interested now in losing weight a little faster, well, more consistently. So, I’m diving back into getting support from the twelve step program and actually feel better already because I’m been doing what I’m supposed to do like exercise and eat three meals and no ‘trigger foods.’ Color me even happier. I have solvable problems. Now let’s elect a new Prez and a new party…..heaven help the USA.
I hope this finds you all well and happy.
It’s always good to be here. More next week…Mac goes back to Illinois. She’s such a geek. I’ve learned so much in a short amount of time!
Best to you…..Karen
About the Author...
It has taken me years to unlearn much of what I learned about psychology and health. Suffice it to say, I believe in home schooling, the work of Price, Fallon, Enig and Cowan and one's right to be happy in one's life. My husband and I live in Sunnyvale, CA with seven fabulous cats. They teach us to take a nap when the urge strikes, to eat heartily when hungry and to stretch into the new day. La Vida es Bueno!

Hi Mackenzie, glad you like Australia. Maybe you can come with Karen when she swaps yurt with us. Mexico for Byron was it Karen? I’m sure you’ve heard of Byron Bay. Only the coolest town in Australia. The kids here are so cool when I walk past them in the street, I shiver. I can’t remember being nearly so sophisticated 20 years ago when I was your age. And they’re very friendly.
You’ve noticed Aunty Karen’s food is very different to what it used to be. I hope you’ve also noticed it gives you more energy and a fresher complexion. I also hope you keep nourishing yourself when you get back home.

Say, Joanne, good to be back and reading all the fabulous information. Love it and feel smarter already! Mac loved getting a message from you and thought you were funny i.e. the ’shiver’ remark.
Looking forward to that swap someday…Later gator.
By the way, I’m off to a Weston Price pot luck this Saturday..thought you all might like to know a tad about the topic. I’ve cut and pasted the information and a website. I know little about it, frankly, although I have a Chinese doctor we don’t ‘name’ things so much. I happened to trust him implicitely and have benefitted from our work toggether.
>>>>>Our July potluck will feature Jennifer Lee Gunst speaking about allergy desensitization using NAET approach. NAET and BioSET are a safe, gentle, and natural approach for desensitizing allergies in both adults and children. To date, these therapies are one of the fastest and most effective approaches in the treatment of both food and seasonal allergies.
NAET and BioSET are based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and are a method of balancing energies in the body with respect to a given allergen. According to NAET and BioSET theory, allergies cause energy imbalances in the energy meridians, also known as energy pathways. An energy blockage is the primary cause for any allergic reaction towards any substance. When the energy blockage from an allergen is removed, that particular allergen has not been shown to produce adverse reactions in the body upon future contacts.
